The Venture Out project is an engaging and fun way to introduce basic business concepts. It brings various functions of business together in a simulated business so you can experience what life is like in a small start-up company.

You’ll form a team, research a market, select a product, write a business plan, and present your plan to a board of judges. If your team loan is approved, you’ll order and sell your product. Your profits will be used for a worthy beneficiary. Throughout Venture Out, you’ll learn about effective teamwork which is essential in business. At the conclusion of the project, your team will produce a professional annual report summarizing your company's performance and lessons learned. From start‐up to harvest, management to product design, accounting to sales—you’ll experience it all.
